You get surface with all the letters and the numbers with a nice space between them
One for the letters and one for the numbers

It's 2 cm high approximately for a letter and Matching numbers 

 
How to work with that surface ?
First you have to Apply a little fat in the surface.
You take a ball of fondant with CMC and press it down to the letter.
Use a sharp knife to shave the remains of dough.
Send to ten minutes or more in the freezer.

Remove from the freezer and immediately bend the mold and pull out the letters.
 
I recommend letting it rest until fully dry of the letters.
That way,  you can adjust their position on the cake without the mess of soft dough.
If the room temperature is not cold enough, try to make 4-5 letter at a time.
In the future you can choose your method for getting perfect results.
